Attendance Policies

A.) Class Attendance According to placement, all dancers must attend between 3-5 classes per week Monday–Saturday as scheduled per their Instructor. This also includes additional rehearsal times as designated. (These will be announced as early as possible, and may include Sunday rehearsal times if needed). Rehearsals will be mandatory for those dancers involved.



B.) Attendance will now be taken at the door of the studio, before each student enters. Each dancer will be properly attired and prepared for class. If the dancer is not ready or they are improperly attired they will be asked to amend the situation. The student who is constantly carrying in toes shoes, fixing hair etc., will be counted as absent, and need to make the class up. (Poor attendance may impact a student’s advancement). Absences will be noted to ensure all students are attending their assigned classes.

C.) In the event of an extended illness or issue should occur, then it is up to the parents to personally contact the Executive Director so that all parties concerned are aware of the special circumstances.

D.) Students who are ill will no longer be allowed to watch their class. They will stay home and rest; and this will be counted as an absence and need to be made up. Any student that arrives for class not prepared to participate will no longer be allowed to view class; but will be asked to sit out and make the class up at a later date when they are readily prepared to participate at their level of ability.
