Kristen Stein
Kristen Stein is from Gurnee, IL and began her dance training at age 12 at the Summers Academy of Dance in Crystal Lake, IL. After high school she attended Columbia College of Chicago for two years to pursue a BFA in dance. After two years at Columbia she switched directions and received a full-merit dance scholarship to the Giordano Dance Center, where she trained with the top teachers in Chicago. In 2005 Kristen went to Salt Lake City, Utah to dance as an apprentice with Odyssey Dance Theatre. While there she worked with many renowned choreographers such as Dee Caspary, Liz Imperio, and Bonnie Story. In 2007, Kristen was one of the top 17 girls on the Fox TV show So You Think You Can Dance. Kristen is now dancing her third season with LehrerDance, a professional dance company in Buffalo NY.
Leigh Sullivan
Leigh Sullivan (2005 Graduate) – has played lead roles with BBT@ as Cinderella (2005), Peasant PAS in Giselle (2004), Swanhilda in Coppelia (2003), as well as several other roles with the company over the past years. She is currently on a dance scholarship at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, where she is pursuing her Dance Degree. There she dances everyday as a full time student and is a member of their Ballet Ensemble Performing Dance Company, where she has performed lead roles in their productions of Carmen, Sleeping Beauty and Giselle. Recently, Leigh was selected to perform a variation of “Firebird” with the GVSU drum line as part of their spring competition tour. Leigh has toured Central Europe (2006) with the Blue Lake International Ballet Ensemble, where she performed in lead Modern, Ballet and Musical Theatre numbers choreographed by professional instructors/professors, while attending Master Dance Classes in Paris, Denmark and Germany during their tour. She returns to the studio frequently to teach and participate in classes, as she enjoys working with the students to share her knowledge.
