Classroom Etiquitte

As representatives of the Summers Academy and the Company, each student will be encouraged to fulfill a professional etiquette of the highest standards. As dancers, part of your job is to uphold that level of etiquette at all times.

1.) We will make a conscientious effort to start all classes on time, as such we will expect that each dancer is at class on time. Any student on pointe will need to arrive 15 minutes early to allow sufficient time to put on their pointe shoes, so the instructor may begin the class on time.

2.) If a dancer is late to class, the dancer is to wait until the instructor (at their discretion) stops the class to allow the dancer to enter class.

Absences

A.) Monthly tuition fees cannot be adjusted for daily absences. All absences can be accommodated by scheduling a make-up class. Any student missing more than 10% of their required classes will not be able to perform. (Extenuating circumstances or severe illness are exceptions.). Additionally, if a student misses any "mandatory" rehearsals or dress rehearsals they will not be able to perform for obvious reasons.

B.) All make-up classes must be scheduled and completed within 2 weeks of the dancer's initial absence.
